# Practice Flow capacity workbook

Updated 2026-09-19.

## Purpose

Resource loads, capacity constraints and a conditional scale factor for the same procedure mix — what do the entered records support?

## Who uses this

Owner and practice operations team

## Records to gather

People present, available shift minutes, usable rooms, shared-resource capacity and active minutes per procedure.

## Steps

1. Read Results and Use and Limits; review the labeled Fictional example case.
2. Select My case in Inputs!B4 and fill the My case input column. Enter your coded procedure mix in Procedure Mix rows 7–106; do not overwrite calculated cells.
3. Enter 0 only for a known zero. A resource with known zero demand and zero capacity is not required by that mix and does not constrain its scale factor. Positive demand with zero capacity gives a zero same-mix scale factor; missing inputs remain unavailable.
4. Review resource loads and task overlap before using the same-mix scale factor. It applies to the entered mix and does not establish a safe appointment schedule or clinical authorization.
5. Review unavailable or adverse results and supporting evidence; assign the missing record, reviewer, due date and next action in Review Actions.

## Key terms

- **Resource load**: Required work divided by available time or capacity for the same period.
- **Service opening upper bound**: Unfilled service hours before allocation against shared resources and overlaps.
- **Appointment template**: An explicit record of room and role minutes required for a type of visit.

## Fictional example

The fictional shift requires 320 doctor minutes against 420 available; hygiene rooms are the most heavily loaded resource at 95.2%.

## Next action

Review each unavailable or adverse result, then assign the missing record, reviewer, due date and next action in Review Actions.

## Limits

Formulas are editable and sheet protection is not enabled. Use only the prepared rows and keep a clean copy. Recalculation and XLSX reimport were checked with Artifact Tool; Excel desktop/web, Google Sheets and native printing have not been interactively tested. These are aggregate planning tools, not professional verification.

## AI coaching

Help me complete this DenQAI file using the context below. Explain the supplied fictional example first, then ask one question at a time about my permitted fictional or aggregate, non-identifying inputs. Treat missing values as unknown, not zero. Keep example values separate from my case. Do not invent records, source verification, contract terms or professional conclusions. Identify the missing evidence and responsible reviewer before the next action.

## AI review

Review my permitted fictional or aggregate, non-identifying draft against the DenQAI file context below. Check the actual fields, units, periods, evidence and unresolved contradictions. Use arithmetic only where the stated model supports it; a CSV has no embedded formulas. Keep missing values unknown and separate facts, assumptions and the fictional example. Return specific corrections, questions for the responsible reviewer and the next action; do not invent professional approval.
